The camp will run Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am-4:00pm at Weedon Island Preserve. \nLessons and Activities may include: \n\nCoastal habitat hike\nGuided canoe paddle\nSaltwater fish seining and invertebrate dip-netting\nEthical fishing on the Weedon Pier\nDaily art activity\nTeambuilding\n\nTen Ohio State University students from the OSU Buck-I-SERV program will volunteer as teaching assistants for the camp\, creating a 1:2 ratio of instructors to students! UF/IFAS and OSU have a 8-year relationship of working together to provide marine science opportunities for youth. The camp is set up as a 4-H Special Interest\, SPIN Club. As such\, each parent will fill out a 4-H membership form and liability form for their student. Every second and fourth Thursday of each month\, children are treated to a variety of stories and hands-on activities that connect them to their environment. This activity is recommended for ages 3 to 5. \nSpace is limited. Pre-registration is required for children\, but accompanying adults do not need to register themselves. \nQuestions or concerns?
