DESCRIPTION:Join the Camp Bayou volunteers on Saturday\, October 25 for a Special Night Paddle. There will be just a sliver of a moon while we explore the Little Manatee River after dark- without flashlights! \nThe tour is $25 if you need to use one of our canoes or kayaks and $5 if you bring your own. \nPlan to arrive by 6pm so we can be on the river by 7pm. \nRegistration required– call 813-641-8545\, Thursday- Sunday between 9am and 2pm. \nCamp Bayou continues to offer day paddle trips on the first and third Saturdays each month at 9am. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join archaeologists for a unique and engaging paddling experience in the waters of the Weedon Island Preserve! \nAges 18+ \n\n\nThis trip will paddle from Weedon Island’s mainland to Ross Island where participants will tour one of Tampa Bay’s best preserved archaeological sites. During the paddle\, the group will make short stops to learn about the history of Weedon Island’s exceptional estuary habitats. The trip will be led by professional archaeologists from the Alliance for Weedon Island Archaeological Research and Education (AWIARE) and the Central Florida Gulf Coast Archaeological Society (CGCAS). \nThis guided tour is not for beginner paddlers; experience and endurance are required.
