DESCRIPTION:Wildlife abounds at the Weedon Island Preserve\, especially the tiny kind\, like butterflies\, bees\, crabs and other invertebrates. Join Center naturalist Liz Childress to learn how to see Weedon’s little creatures and discover the hidden beauty of the Preserve. The Experience starts with a short program\, followed by a leisurely stroll weather permitting. Don’t forget to bring your camera! \nThe total walk length will be variable\, but no more than a mile or so. We will traverse uneven\, natural paths and boardwalks so please prepare accordingly. Close-toed shoes are highly recommended. \nThis tour is for adults and youth ages 10+. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-person workshop to “make and take” a Chickadee nest box for your yard! \nWant to help our local cavity nesters? \nLearn how to build your very own nest box for a Carolina Chickadee! \nIn this workshop you will learn about proper nest box placement and mounting\, additional information specific to the nesting habits of Carolina Chickadees\, and other fun facts about this species! \nWe will be building a nest box for a Carolina Chickdee\, which is a year-round resident North and Central Florida\, including Pinellas County. \nRegistration is required.
