Women like Katherine B. Tippetts\, Elizabeth Skinner Jackson\, Dr. Grace Whitford\, Myrtle Scharrer Betz\, and Lucy Platt Hayes were instrumental in social change during this time period\, and we even owe the concept of state birds\, like Florida’s northern mockingbird\, to their efforts. DESCRIPTION:Wildlife abounds at the Weedon Island Preserve\, especially the tiny kind\, like butterflies\, bees\, crabs and other invertebrates. The Experience starts with a short program\, followed by a leisurely stroll weather permitting.
