DESCRIPTION:The city of Clearwater is celebrating its 42nd year as Tree City USA with our annual Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Giveaway. \nThe event will be held Saturday\, April 27\, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works Complex\, 1650 N. Arcturas Ave. in Clearwater. Please access the site via Hercules Avenue and Sherwood Street. \nClearwater residents must get in line with their vehicles; no walk-ups will be allowed. Bring proof that you are a City of Clearwater resident\, such as a utility bill and your driver’s license. If proof of residency is not provided\, a ticket to receive your free trees will not be issued. Trees are distributed on a first-come first-serve basis\, while supplies last. Species this year include Live Oak\, Red Maple\, Crape Myrtle’s\, Walters Viburnum\, Bottlebrush\, Simpson Stopper\, Silver Buttonwood\, Green Buttonwood and many more. \nResidents are not to plant trees in the right of way (along the curb). DESCRIPTION:This winter fundraiser runs from Friday\, November 29th\, 2024-Saturday\, January 4\, 2025 from 5:30-9:30 PM nightly.\nThere is a suggested donation of $10 per person\, with kids 12 and under free.  \nThe Florida Botanical Gardens will sparkle with 1 million\, twinkling\, LED lights in a multitude of colors. Vibrant laser lights and lighted figures round out our display to wow guests of all ages. The opening of our new Majeed Discovery Garden will take this already awesome event to the next level. You won’t want to miss it! Interested in being a sponsor? See the information below. \nKids Activities\nThere will be free kids activities in the Majeed Discovery Garden every Sunday and Thursday evening throughout the month of December. \nParticipate in this community event while enjoying the twinkling lights.
