SUMMARY:National Estuaries Week/International Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:In honor of National Estuaries Week\, Tampa Bay Watch is recruiting\nvolunteers for a land-based cleanup of Bartlett Park and Tampa Bay Watch\non Saturday\, September 21\, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Additionally we are\npartnering up with the Ocean Conservancy for their International Coastal\nCleanup\, in hopes of compiling debris data and joining hands to think\nglobally by acting locally. \nVolunteers will need to wear clothes and shoes that they don’t mind\ngetting wet and dirty\, as the majority of the trash is found within\nmangroves/marshy areas. DESCRIPTION:Tampa Bay Watch is recruiting volunteers to participate in our\nMono-Clean-A-Thon by cleaning “mono” or fishing line on Thursday\, August 15 from 9am – noon at our Marine Center in Tierra Verde. Cleaning line involves sorting through it to remove debris and cutting out hooks and lures. July 5 is often considered one of the dirtiest days of the year at the beach.\n\nVolunteers are needed to help pick up the litter and debris left behind.
