SUMMARY:Terra Ceia Preserve State Park
DESCRIPTION:Located just over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Manatee County\, Terra Ceia Preserve State Park is 2\,000 acres of mangrove forests\, freshwater and saltwater wetlands\, and uplands. Much of the preserve is in various stages of habitat restoration that is intended to return agricultural land to its natural and ecologically diverse condition. Park trails are open to foot traffic only and accessible from park gates. \nWe plan to meet at the Hightower Trail Entrance. Hightower_trailmap_georef.pdf. Walking is easy and will mostly be flat. Bring water\, snacks\, and insect repellent.  A hat is recommended since we will probably be in unshaded areas at least part of the time. \nThere are no restrooms at the park.\n \nContact TAS Field Trip Coordinator Logan Lane logan.lane@tampaaudubon.org for more information. \nImportant! Pre-registration is required\, and participation is limited. Please do not attend this or any Tampa Audubon Society events if you have flu\, cold\, or covid symptoms. Tampa Audubon is committed to reducing the spread of illnesses. The health and safety of our members is of the highest priority.

SUMMARY:Field Trip- Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive
DESCRIPTION:Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive (Orange County). \nAlways a great opportunity to get a close-up look at many species we usually only see at a distance. \nThis 12-mile drive through the area will give us lots of opportunities to see a very wide range of birds. Hopefully it will already be hosting thousands of ducks and shorebirds. \nIt is also a reliable place to see Fulvous Whistling-ducks – a species we don’t see in this part of the state. \nContact president@pascoaudubon.com
