SUMMARY:Sunday Wind Trio
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an afternoon of classical music in the museum at Weedon Island Preserve!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nJoin us at the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center for a pop-up classical music performance by Classical Revolution St. Pete! Classical Revolution’s trio of professional musicians will play a medley of brass and woodwind-focused pieces in two sets. The first performance will begin at 1PM and last 30-40 minutes\, followed by a short intermission\, and then a second performance. \nClassical Revolution St Pete was founded in 2017 as a new St. Petersburg chapter of Classical Revolution\, a chamber music organization whose goal is simple: To bring high quality classical music to the people. By performing in unexpected and non-traditional venues\, Classical Revolution creates a space for people to enjoy classical music in a relaxed atmosphere\, introduces classical music to new audiences\, and provides additional performance opportunities to local musicians. \nThis performance is sponsored by the Friends of Weedon Island (FOWI)\, a non-profit 501c3 organization supporting the Weedon Island Preserve through education\, preservation\, and protection of its habitat\, ecology\, and cultural history. \nIf you attended our inaugural Sunday String Quartet in January\, then you know this program is very popular! Due to our having limited seating\, all seats for this performance will be $5/person*. Proceeds from this event go to support the Friends of Weedon Island’s mission. On the day of the concert\, you will have the opportunity to roll your admission fee into the price of a student\, individual or family membership for FOWI! \n————————————————————– \n*Refunds on tickets will be accepted up to 48 hours before the concert begins. \nQuestions or concerns? Please contact Preserve staff at weedonisland@pinellascounty.org. \nTickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sunday-wind-trio-tickets-92265981033

SUMMARY:Free Concert
DESCRIPTION:Free Concert – Suzanne & Jim! \nIt seems like only yesterday — in fact it was yesterday…25 years ago — that what I originally took to be a casual remark by Suzanne\, “Let’s play music”\, started to become our life. On December 15\, 1992 we packed what we owned\, a guitar and a banjo (and two cats) into our green Ford pickup\, strapped a tent to the top of the bed topper and set out.\nWe never looked back but\, to tell the truth\, weren’t looking forward much either. We had no plan other than to see what we could do to earn our living by performing. After 25 years and an estimated three quarter of a million miles on the road that is still pretty much the plan.\nAlong the way we have made so many wonderful friends\, people who have become as a family to us. We have experienced the joy of receptive listeners on concert stages\, in living rooms and street corners across the country and in Canada and Europe\, as well. We have introduced audiences to the beauty of our traditional and historic music\, not as antique curiosities but as a living part of our American culture\, the memes that have informed our culture\, the voices of our ancestors who have spoken of their joys and trials.\nWe have searched for the narrative that puts these songs and stories in a framework of universal human experience. In short\, we have been Song-Chasers.\nWe have shared our love of this music with other like minded musicians and found that it transcends philosophical\, religious and political beliefs\, drawing otherwise disparate people together in a bond of melody and song.\nWe have learned that our strength lies in the complete trust and confidence we share in one another. We have learned that\, deep down\, all peoples are the same in their need for the truth and beauty of music. That in times of doubt the music will carry us on. We have indeed been blessed.\nWith luck we’ll keep singing … and Keep Smilin’  ——    Jim Hale and Suzanne Jaroszynski \n https://www.suzanneandjim.com/
