Tot Time & The Gopher Tortoise Tot Trot!

October 18, 2024 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
$3
  • « Farming at Boyd Hill Garden
  • Community Tree Care »

Families with little ones can enjoy nature-themed stories and crafts at the Weedon Island Preserve.

Families of pre-school aged children (3-5 years old) are invited to explore the wonders of the Weedon Island Preserve! This class will focus on the Gopher Tortoise, a keystone species and icon of the Preserve. In addition to learning about these special tortoises though crafts and activities, families can also participate in the Gopher Tortoise Tot Trot. This family-fun run will pass by gopher tortoise burrows and hopefully give us the opportunity to observe some wild tortoises!

Spots are limited so advance registration is required for all youth participants.
