‘Natives in Focus’ Plant Walk

Join Dave Perkey and Jan Allyn on Sunday, July 27th to explore the plants and animals at Sawgrass Lake Park, a 400-acre park in the Lealman area that is cooperatively managed by Pinellas County and the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The park has a mile-long boardwalk and one of the largest maple swamps on the Gulf Coast which allows people to view a variety of wildlife. There is also a half-mile uplands trail. Parking and restrooms are available at the park. More information

Meet at 7 a.m. in front of the education building. Bring a reusable water bottle and sun/insect protection. The park is located at 7400 25th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. To get there, take 62nd Avenue North to 25th Street and then head north.
