Mighty & Marvelous Mangroves

July 25, 2025 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Free
  • « Fins, Skins, & Feathers Camp
  • Boat America Classes »

Celebrate World Mangrove Day on a guided walk. Discover how these mighty coastal trees protect, adapt, and shape life along our shores.

Join us for a guided hike in celebration of World Mangrove Day! Led by a Sea Grant Extension Agent Pinellas County, this walk takes you along a scenic trail that brings you up close to Tampa Bay’s mangroves.

Along the way, you’ll discover the three main types of mangroves, learn about their fascinating adaptations that help them survive in salty, shifting coastal environments, and explore why these mighty trees are so vital for our shoreline, wildlife, and communities.

Perfect for nature enthusiasts ages 6+, youth must be supervised by adults—come see how mangroves shape and protect our coastal world!

Trail conditions will be on paved or boardwalk style and the hike will be less than a mile in length.
