Children’s Book Reading “Otto the Otter: A Big Surprise”

Otto the Otter: A Big Surprise is the true story of a North American River Otter who visited one family’s small pond every day. The family loved watching him and taking pictures of his antics. Then one day, Otto brought them the most amazing surprise!

Linda Hansen wrote and illustrated Otto the Otter: A Big Surprise, a book about an enchanting family of North American river otters. Join us for a live reading by Hansen where she will also provide educational background to the audience about North American river otters. Children will have an opportunity to engage and ask questions after the reading.

This book is recommended for youth ages 4-8, but families with children of all ages are welcome to attend this reading. Copies of the book will be available after the program for those interested in purchasing it.

About the Author: Linda Hansen loves combining art and nature. After retiring from her career as the Executive Director of a non-profit, she has finally found the time to follow her creative passions. She is currently working in watercolor and is both the author and illustrator of this creative and educational children’s book. Linda grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in Florida with her husband and two dogs—very close to the small pond where this true story takes place.
