Tot Time in September
Families of pre-school aged children (3-5 years old) are invited to explore the wonders of the Weedon Island Preserve! Every class will have a different theme featuring Florida-specific nature or history. Participants may enjoy stories, and activities that connect them to our natural world.
This months theme is all about plants! Pinellas County Vegetation Management offers a reading from Eric Carle’s book “How does a seed sprout? Life Cycles with The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
After the reading, attendees can plant their own native plant seed through a guided activity and learn about how a plant grows, and the important role native plants play in an environment.
Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required for all participants, adults and children.
