The Skies of Weedon:
From Avian Identification to Conservation

From wetland herons and ospreys to upland towhees and swallow-tailed kites, join Sensing Nature’s Senior Wildlife Biologist Jeanne Murphy and investigate some of Weedon Island Preserve’s avian treasures. Discover quick and easy ways to tell one feathered friend from another, find out where they will often flock, what tools to use for starting the fun identification process, and some interesting snippets about each species varying from their unique behaviors to conservation.
This program is great for seasoned Florida residents wanting to learn more, first time Florida visitors, and any kids 7 years of age and older aiming to investigate some of Weedon Island’s avian species.
