Sunday Wind Trio

March 8, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
$5
  • « The Swamp Ecosystem
  • Wee-Time at Weedon »
Enjoy an afternoon of classical music in the museum at Weedon Island Preserve!

About this Event

Join us at the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center for a pop-up classical music performance by Classical Revolution St. Pete! Classical Revolution’s trio of professional musicians will play a medley of brass and woodwind-focused pieces in two sets. The first performance will begin at 1PM and last 30-40 minutes, followed by a short intermission, and then a second performance.

Classical Revolution St Pete was founded in 2017 as a new St. Petersburg chapter of Classical Revolution, a chamber music organization whose goal is simple: To bring high quality classical music to the people. By performing in unexpected and non-traditional venues, Classical Revolution creates a space for people to enjoy classical music in a relaxed atmosphere, introduces classical music to new audiences, and provides additional performance opportunities to local musicians.

This performance is sponsored by the Friends of Weedon Island (FOWI), a non-profit 501c3 organization supporting the Weedon Island Preserve through education, preservation, and protection of its habitat, ecology, and cultural history.

If you attended our inaugural Sunday String Quartet in January, then you know this program is very popular! Due to our having limited seating, all seats for this performance will be $5/person*. Proceeds from this event go to support the Friends of Weedon Island’s mission. On the day of the concert, you will have the opportunity to roll your admission fee into the price of a student, individual or family membership for FOWI!
