Limited Commercial Landscape and Lawn & Ornamental Pesticide Training

Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance and Limited Lawn & Ornamental Pesticide License Training – This is a 6-hour training class for anyone who cut lawns and/or maintain ornamentals at   private homes and businesses and wish to apply pesticides on the job. Often called the “Round-Up  License”.

Training Class: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

If you cut lawns and/or maintain ornamentals at private homes and businesses and wish to apply pesticides on the job, including Round-Up, then this six-hour training class is a requirement before obtaining the Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance License (LCLM). With this license, you will be able to apply herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides that state “Caution” on the label on all but lawns and turfs.

This class is also offered as a review for the Limited Lawn and Ornamental (LLO) license which is for employees on private property (in-house maintenance crews) or employees of a government agency who wish to apply pesticides to lawn and landscape areas.

For all attendees taking the LCLM and LLO exams:

In order to take the test, you must obtain a voucher at https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu/ click on “apply for exam”. This will take you to the FreshfromFlorida website where you will complete your information and pay the $150 exam fee.

You can not take the exam without the voucher!

This class reviews the fundamentals you will need to pass the LCLM exams. The study manual can be purchased from the IFAS Bookstore at 800-226-1764.

Registration – Registration is required. Registration on the day of the event will be charged an additional $10.00 fee.

Cancellations – If your class is canceled for any reason you will be notified no less than 24 hours prior to class start. We will provide a full refund for cancellations made by Manatee County Extension. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.

Refunds – Refunds will be made in the event of a class cancellation or if the registrant requests a refund 24 hours prior to the class time.
