Time for a Sprinkler Checkup?

With once-a-week watering restrictions in place through the spring season, it will be more important than ever to keep sprinkler systems operating at their best. Broken heads, sprinklers blocked by overgrown grass or shrubs, malfunctioning rain sensors and leaky pipes all impact the efficiency of your sprinkler system – and can send valuable water and money pouring down the drain.

A “do-it-yourself” sprinkler system checkup is available from local extension service offices. Conveniently printed in a waterproof file folder format, the guide walks homeowners through conducting a visual check of their yards and sprinkler system, a “catch-can” test, checking on rain sensors, unclogging sprinkler heads and making easy repairs.
