Sept. 20, Annual Lake, Pond and Stream Seminar, 6 to 9 p.m., the Florida Aquarium, sponsored by the Hillsborough County Adopt-A-Pond program. Highlights include guest speakers, music and the opportunity to meet people who are transforming drainage ponds into wildlife habitats that effectively filter water before it flows into the bay. The annual seminar is an overview of what local groups are doing. Individual neighborhood associations also can schedule a Pond Walk with a volunteer biologist at their convenience Monday through Thursday from April to October.
