Get the scoop on Green and Growing by attending a day-long field day on Friday, March 17, 2017 to learn about horticulture production and research. The registration fee of $15 includes group transportation and activities. During the day we will be talking to people with different careers in agriculture and visiting a Manatee County nursery/farm where you will learn what it’s like to be a farmer. This is an outdoor event, please wear closed toe shoes and bring sunscreen. Limited program capacity. This program is open to all youth (age 8-13 by September 1, 2016) without regard to race, color, sex, handicap or national origin.
